Problem
A professional services firm needed to improve its staff’s ability to influence others effectively within a complex matrix organization, where siloed units and competing priorities limited collaboration.
Solution
In co-creation with the client, we developed a targeted training program focused on practical tools and techniques for using power and influence strategically within the matrix. Workshops incorporated real influence challenges identified by senior managers and subject matter experts.
Participants practiced leveraging their personal credibility and reputation to craft persuasive communications that addressed stakeholders’ interests and sparked peer engagement.
They applied techniques in fishbowl role-plays, receiving real-time feedback and peer coaching to refine their approach.
